The material
Numidian Green reads almost black from a distance and opens into deep forest tones under direct light. The calcite network runs in irregular, unrepeating branches rather than parallel bands, which makes it a material for single decisive surfaces rather than long continuous runs. It takes a high polish without losing the depth of the ground, and holds a honed finish with a soft, almost matte density. Specify it where you want a room to have one dark centre of gravity.
