The material
Aurès Crimson is the most expressive material in the collection and the least forgiving of casual use. The red ground carries a fine white fracture network that reads as drawing rather than texture, with occasional burgundy concentrations that behave almost like ink. Because the pattern is directional, it rewards deliberate layout: bookmatched pairs across a wall, or a single monolithic block face. Used as a general surface it becomes noise. Used once, in the right place, it is the reason people remember a room.
