The material
Ivory Storm is the one stone in Signature whose interest is drawing rather than colour: a pale ivory ground crossed by dark grey and brown veining that runs in sharp, storm-like directions. It gives a project the graphic impact of a figured marble without committing it to a colour, which is why it is so often specified alongside the reds and roses rather than instead of them. The veining is strongly directional, so layout is a design decision and not a fixing detail, and bookmatched pairs are where it does its best work.
